  • We don't exactly know what we are doing, but we try to do good science. For example, we want to elucidate the importance of methylation as a mediator between external signals and gene expression, including transcription and translation.

    Chromatin

    组蛋白修饰通过特异性Writers和Erasers调控染色质状态和转录,参与生长、发育、疾病等多种生物学过程。我们重点关注未知分子机制的揭示及疾病干预策略。

    Ribosome

    翻译机器(核糖体)控制基因表达的第二步。传统认为核糖体是一个被动的翻译机器,但我们重点关注此前几乎完全忽略的核糖体蛋白修饰。我们认为这些修饰是环境因素的印记,主动且选择性地调控含有特定mRNA Motif的基因群的蛋白合成,我们称之为广义表观遗传

    Application

    基因表达紊乱是造成疾病的根本原因之一,通过靶向疾病特有的表观遗传修饰,在转录或翻译层面纠正基因表达紊乱,让不治之症不再无药可用。
